The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Vignette

(first posted 1/12/2007)

Just a simple little vignette I made for a movie vignette contest on my forums (SSLF). It's the last scene in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... the third in the famous series of westerns starring Clint Eastwood known as the Man With No Name trilogy.

"You see that's what Bill Carson told me... It's in the grave marked 'Unknown'... right beside Arch stanton."
In TGTBTU, Blondie (Clint Eastwood, the Good), Tuco (the Ugly), and Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef, the Bad) are all searching for a box of gold hidden in a graveyard.

"This is a joke, eh Blondie? You wouldn't... You wouldn't play a joke on me like that!"
This is pretty much the movie's final scene, so sorry if I'm ruining it for you. Even if you do know how it ends now, WATCH THE MOVIE! It owns. One of the most purely awesome movies ever made. Ever.

"That's no joke; it's a rope, Tuco. Now I want you to climb up there and put your head in that noose."
I was going to give Clint (Blondie) a regular LEGO cowboy hat, but it looked all wrong. He always, ALWAYS... wears a flat-brimmed hat, not a curvy one like LEGO made. So I just put this Adventurers' hat on him. Just ignore the curved-up part on the back. Pretend it's the wind.

I avoided using decals, but I did use a marker (for the UNKNOWN sign) and some cloth cut-outs (for the jacket, poncho, and bags of gold). And of course the rope (taken from a blanket lying around the house... since LEGO's black ropes just wouldn't look right). Heh. Enjoy!

"HEY, BLOOOONDIEEE!!! YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE?! JUST A DIRTY SON OF A - !!!"
