NOTE: Although all of the other MGS2 figs here are mine, this Solid Snake
decal was actually designed mostly by my brother,
Ryan C. Stebbins.
Solid Snake makes his appearance only in the opening Tanker chapter of
MGS2 and much later at the very end of the game, inside Arsenal Gear.
Snake is noticeably rougher in this installation of the series, with a
longer haircut and a stubble most of the time (you can actually give him a
shaver to get rid of it at one point).

During most of the game, the player controls this new guy: Raiden. Unlike
Snake, this kid isn't manly enough to grow a stubble, and when you combine
this with his skinny body and long flowing blond hair, the result is a
character that can only be described as "gay." I mean, seriously, when I
first saw early images of Raiden, I thought he was a girl. In fact, I
would have liked him better if he HAD been.

"Brother... I'm a whole different game from Liquid!" - Solidus Snake
One of the most seriously awesome of the Big Boss clones is the main
villain in this game: Solidus Snake. Wearing huge black armor with
missile-shooting tentacles attached and sporting a P90 and TWO HF swords,
he's quite a force to be reckoned with. Couple this with the fact that he
has an awesome voice provided by John Cygan (the same guy who does
Canderous Ordo / Mandalore in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic), and
you've got possibly the best villain of the series. Shame Liquid always
takes center stage from him...

Practically the main villain of the MGS series by this point, Revolver
Ocelot returns to his scheming ways in MGS2, where he's constantly pulling
everyone's strings... or shooting them down with his pistols. This outfit
is the one he wears in the very end of the game, not the camouflage outfit
from the Tanker chapter.

Possibly the most disgusting character ever to be seen in MGS is Vamp, the
nearly invincible bisexual vampire who cuts himself and can run on water.
I would complain about how he's freakish and ridiculous even for a Metal
Gear Solid character, but I'd rather not even talk about him. Moving
along...

Fortune is another freaky boss in MGS2. Well, she's not really a boss,
since you never actually fight her because she's impossible to kill. She
apparently repels bullets, though you later learn it's only because of a
device she wears on her belt (although she does have some latent psychic
powers). The existence of this device makes one wonder why more people
don't wear them. I wonder if they will return in MGS4...

"Brace yourself!"

"Is that the best you can do?"
